CITY CENTER RESIDENTIAL’S WALNUT VIEW AT CITYPLACE RECEIVES PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL
City Center Residential received approval from the Allentown Planning Commission today to build its 14th apartment building in downtown Allentown, Walnut View at Cityplace. The 57-unit building at 909 West Walnut Street is set to open in the Spring of 2023, bringing the developer’s total number of apartments in the city to more than 1,500.
Construction of the five-story Walnut View, designed by Bernardon, will begin in the Spring of 2022. The residential community will include market-rate studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments and connected parking in the adjacent Maple Street Garage.
Each apartment will all feature open gourmet kitchens with stainless-steel Energy Star® appliances, soft-close drawers, quartz countertops and subway-tile backsplashes. Each apartment will have luxury vinyl-wood plank flooring, full-sized stackable washers and dryers, a walk-in closet and energy-saving LED lighting.
Residents of the pet-friendly building will have access to The Hub at Cityplace, 12,000 square feet of amenity space around the corner on 9th Street inside Cityplace South. The Hub features two fitness centers, a bouldering wall, a courtyard, co-working space and more.
Walnut View will provide 24/7 monitored surveillance and controlled access, Wi-Fi in the common areas and storage for bikes and personal items. The property will also offer onsite professional management, 24/7 emergency maintenance, and concierge services, including pet walking.
All City Center Residential tenants receive a complimentary membership to the Allentown Art Museum and discounts on membership at LVHN Fitness, classes at The Baum School of Art and tickets at Miller Symphony Hall.
